<p>As a Seamer/Wardrobe Tailor, you will fit, alter, and repair uniforms within precise guidelines.</p> <p>Position: Part-Time</p> <p>Location: Gold Strike Casino - Robinsonville, MS</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Fit, alter, and repair uniforms within clean precise guidelines </li><li>Familiar with cutting all types of fabric and pattern making and care for all varieties of fabrics. </li><li>Perform many types of hand sewing and work with curved needles, adhesives, and other specific supplies. </li><li>Sew on all fabrics including stretch fabrics, vinyl, and leather. </li><li>Determine if the uniform has met its "life span" and report to Supervisor. </li><li>Adhere to all Health Department, OSHA, sanitation, and safety regulations including chemical usage for spotting. </li><li>Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. </li><li>Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Five (5) years of previous experience in the sewing field. </li><li>Experience with high-quality uniforms made from a variety of fabrics. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate industrial straight stitch, zig-zag, overlock machines, and embroidery machines where applicable. </li><li>Ability to operate sewing machines, steamers, and irons. </li><li>Knowledgeable with fabric care on all varieties of fabrics and cutting all types of fabrics and pattern making. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>This is not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job. </li></ul> <p>This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking.
