<p>This is a seasonal, part-time/on-call position. Candidates will be considered for both in-person/on campus and remote/virtual.</p> <p>The Meruelo Family Center for Career Development (CCD) prepares students for lifelong career readiness by guiding them to discern, pursue, and achieve career goals that align with their values, interests, and skills.</p> <p>To expand access to career advising during peak times of demand, the CCD is building a skilled team of on-call Career Development Associates ("Associates").</p> <p>As an Associate, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Host weekly office hours to provide timely access to career development resources. </li><li>Conduct individual and group student appointments related to all career development topics to provide timely and accurate guidance. </li><li>Advise students on how to access career development resources offered by the CCD and other sources. </li><li>Provide feedback on resumes and cover letters. </li><li>Conduct mock interviews. </li><li>Refer students to professionals in your network for informational interviews and career exploration. </li></ul> <p>As a member of our team, you may also have the opportunity to support signature CCD programs, including career fairs and networking events.</p> <p>The CCD offers a wide variety of opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to actively engage in and take ownership of their career development. One of the hallmarks of our model is personal attention and tailored guidance through one-on-one career advising and consulting. There will be many weeks where no work is required, and other times of year that will be busy (up to 10 hours), such as before career fairs and during key recruiting cycles.
