<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Department of Occupational Therapy Programs is now accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program. Responsibilities begin immediately for course development.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide instruction in occupational therapy on a variety of subjects in an online, in-person, and/or lab format. </li><li>Provide feedback to students via online learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas). </li><li>Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning. </li><li>Provide academic advising and mentoring for students towards a future career and in the faith. </li><li>Participate in academic curriculum, Fieldwork program, and overall program development. </li><li>Carry out fieldwork delegated responsibilities, including but not limited to supervision, site expansion, and maintaining clinical site relationships. </li><li>Participate in course, curriculum, and program development. </li><li>Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members. </li><li>Dialogue with students and faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy Programs. </li><li>Participate in development for MSOT program and possible future program growth. </li><li>Participate in campus, university, and community service activities. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Master of Science/Art or a terminal degree in Occupational Therapy.</p> <p>Hold current certification/license in the area of expertise in the state of CA.</p> <p>Possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered environment.</p> <p>Proficient in computer, online, and learning management system skills.</p> <p>Clinical experience is desired.</p> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Individuals must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential function of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions may be performed, with or without, reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities</p> <p>If you have questions about items for the application, please contact Fay Jaime Executive Assistant/ Strategic Communications and Office Manager at fay.jaime@biola.edu or the Search Committee chair, Dr. André Woo, at andre.woo@biola.edu</p> <p>Biola is an evangelical Christian university in which faculty endorse the University Doctrinal Statement, adhere to the Standard of Conduct, and are committed to integration of faith and learning.
