The Assistant Controller manages a team and also prepares reports and analysis.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership, training, support, and coaching to team. </li><li>Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations prepared by team </li></ul> <p>members.</p> <ul> <li>Review and approve treasury transactions, and changes to master data in SAP. </li><li>Perform and manage time-sensitive tasks to support timely monthly closes and weekly soft </li></ul> <p>closes.</p> <ul> <li>Gain a thorough understanding of the Company's key financial processes, internal control </li></ul> <p>environment, and SOX controls.</p> <ul> <li>Operate SOX controls, maintaining complete and timely documentation. </li><li>Respond to audit requests. </li><li>Other duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need</p> <p>Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role within a corporate accounting team. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Master's degree and CPA preferred but not required. </li><li>Preferred experience: Construction Industry, SOX environment, SAP, and public accounting </li><li>Experience with rapid financial closes. </li><li>Proven organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>An upbeat but professional demeanor. </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills </li><li>A high level of attention to detail and accuracy </li></ul> <p>Essential Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Standard office environment requiring sitting at desk with some bending, stooping, walking </li><li>Hours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer Needs and in compliance with </li></ul> <p>any regulations; on average - must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5</p> <p>days per week.</p> <p>The wage range for Assistant Controller is $135,000.00 - $145,000.00</p> <p>Why work with us</p> <p>Your career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
