<p>Job Title</p> <p>Flight Training Manager I or II</p> <p>Department</p> <p>Flight Training Program</p> <p>Salary</p> <p>$71,227 - $90,103; commensurate with experience</p> <p>Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>The Flight Training Manager is responsible for the effective conduct of all University flight lab courses. Reporting to the Director of Aerospace - Airport Operations, this position directly supervises Assistant Flight Training Manager(s) and staff flight instructors in the administration of these courses. Serves as a liaison to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) related to flight training operations. Performs stage checks, end-of-course checks, flight instructor upgrades, and ground training for flights, as required. Develops, manages, and updates training course outlines. Teaches Flight Instructor Fundamentals course; assignment to teach this course may vary by term based on departmental needs. Coordinates with the Director of Aerospace - Airport Operations to determine and forecast the current and future needs of the Flight Training Program.
