You'll help shape the face of our marketplace-building performant, scalable, and delightful user experiences with Next.js.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Front-End & Server-Side Development</p> </li><li> <p>Architect and implement core website features using Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR) and React.</p> </li><li> <p>Build and maintain custom serverless APIs and middleware with Node.js.</p> </li><li> <p>Performance & Optimization</p> </li><li> <p>Optimize bundle sizes, code-splitting, and asset loading to hit top Web Vitals scores.</p> </li><li> <p>Leverage Lighthouse audits, real-user metrics, and A/B experiments to drive continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration & Integration</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into reusable component libraries.</p> </li><li> <p>Integrate front-end code with backend GraphQL/REST services, ensuring robust data flows.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines, deployments (Vercel, Netlify), and monitoring.</p> </li><li> <p>Quality & Best Practices</p> </li><li> <p>Establish coding standards, automated tests (Jest, Cypress), and linting/prettier rules.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform code reviews, mentor peers, and evangelize front-end best practices across teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Innovation & Learning</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current on the latest in React ecosystem, Next.js features, and web performance techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Share knowledge via brown-bags, RFCs, or tech talks to drive collective growth.</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required</p> </li><li> <p>Experience & Expertise</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years building production web applications with javascript/typescript, react native,</p> </li><li> <p>Deep understanding of SSR/SSG/ISR, dynamic routing, and data-fetching strategies in Next.js.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with React fundamentals: hooks, context, performance optimizations.</p> </li><li> <p>API & Data Integration</p> </li><li> <p>Solid experience consuming and/or building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Strapi) or e-commerce backends.</p> </li><li> <p>DevOps & Deployment</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on with Vercel, Netlify, or similar platforms; skilled in setting up CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI).</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable writing Infrastructure-as-Code snippets for serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers).</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration & Communication</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal skills; able to draft clear technical specifications and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside backend, design, and DevOps engineers.</p> </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $172,000 - $258,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
