<p>The position of Lime Applicator is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is responsible for the operation of custom application equipment in the application of lime to customer's fields in a safe, accurate, efficient and timely manner. This is a safety-sensitive position.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.</p> <ul> <li>Loading and mixing lime formulas. </li><li>Ability to follow and interpret lime labels. </li><li>Performing all applications in a timely manner and on schedule. </li><li>Maintaining application logs and other records as necessary. </li><li>Reading field maps and global positioning devices. </li><li>Working around and handling hazardous materials properly. </li><li>Performing daily inspection of equipment and minor repairs as needed. </li><li>Willingness to work extended hours as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Must currently have or ability to obtain Professional Applicators license with all applicable endorsements. </li><li>Must have a Class A CDL. </li><li>Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. </li><li>Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public. </li><li>Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy. </li><li>Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the location. </li><li>Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. </li><li>Must exhibit a professional and positive image. </li></ul>
