We are a premier provider of facility planning/programming and consulting services to a variety of government, institutional, military, and corporate clients. These services include Strategic Planning, Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement, Programming & Portfolio Optimization, and Master Planning & Design meant to enhance our clients' business efficiencies. Our team includes planners, facility programmers, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, civil/environmental engineers, economists/business analysts, GIS analysts, graphic designers, and other related disciplines.</p> <p>Role: The primary duties of the Senior Facility Planner/Senior Project Manager are to lead project planning efforts and manage multi-disciplinary planning teams to deliver a wide range of federal planning projects, including Department of Defense (Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps), US Intelligence Community or a range of federal civilian agencies.</p> <p>A Facility Planner is responsible for conducting and documenting physical and functional facility analysis to assist our clients in better understanding their space needs, risks and opportunities within their current or projected facility portfolio. Work involves defining operational patterns and mission requirements and developing strategies to support the changing needs over time. A Facility Planner applies data research and interview techniques to gather and analyze data to predict future requirements.</p> <p>Projects can range from medium- to larger-size master planning and facility planning efforts. Responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and developing planning recommendations, DD 1391 forms and background documentation, project validation, and corresponding documentation in compliance with all applicable Federal and DoD policies and criteria. Projects could include, but not be limited to Project Development, Project Readiness Index (PRI) PRI#1 and PRI#2, Planning Charrette Report (PCR), Requirements Analysis and Planning Charrette packages. Planning projects may also include Vision Plans, Area Development Plans and Installation Development Plans that require knowledge and application of applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) for planning.</p> <ul> <li>Planning knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of the philosophies and techniques of federal, urban, regional, military, and/or facilities planning. </li><li>Research skills: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in research, data collection, and interviews. </li><li>Facilitation Skills: Group facilitation skills for use with client workshops and team charrette experience. </li><li>Critical Thinking: Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems </li><li>Scope development: Proven ability to develop scope parameters, prepare fee proposals and define external and internal project schedules, graphic components, mapping/planning graphic elements, and writing assignments based on a defined Scope of Work. </li><li>Financial Management: Proven ability to manage the financial performance of large complex planning assignments, including tracking and maintaining overall project financial metrics and performance, schedules, subconsultants, revenue projections, client invoicing, overall budgets, and monthly financial updates and reporting effectively and efficiently using Jacobs's project management systems. </li><li>Client relations: Proven ability to develop, interface, and manage client relationships. </li><li>Deliverable management: Manage design and/or mentor the design of overall planning documents page layouts, various charts/figures, brochures, posters, slide shows, and provision of deliverables in a variety of media formats. Graphic design skills are preferred. </li><li>Communication Skills: Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal, to include technical writing/editing experience and a demonstrated ability to write, edit, and deliver planning content. </li></ul> <p>Your most impactful mission in this role is to support our clients and to do so while living inclusion every day. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field </li><li>At least 10 years of professional planning experience. Candidates possessing a Master's Degree in planning or a related field, or professional training certifications may substitute this for professional planning experience. </li><li>Previous proven and successful experience working as Senior Planner/Senior Project Manager managing multiple planning teams and projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource </li><li>Demonstrated experience in land use planning, site planning and/or site design. </li><li>Proven ability to cultivate positive work relationships with multi-disciplinary teams for holistic solutions. </li><li>Military planning experience. </li><li>Skilled in the following software: Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Creative Suite applications including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. </li><li>Beneficial to have experience with: Autodesk AutoCAD, SketchUp 3D Modeling, and GIS </li><li>United States Citizenship </li><li>Candidate expected to work in a virtual hybrid environment, with approximately two days per week at the Irvine office for team meetings and other collaboration. </li><li>Candidate will be expected to travel to fulfill this position. Travel is usually a couple of days up to one week at a time, with some instances of two weeks at a time for international destinations. </li></ul> <p>Ideally You'll Also Have:</p> <ul> <li>Accreditation and/or license in professional field.
