<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Shipping Clerk - Truck Driver</p> <p>Pay Rate:</p> <p>$27.65/hr</p> <p>Category/Shift:</p> <p>Hourly Full-Time</p> <p>6 am - 2 pm, Monday-Friday</p> <p>Some overtime required</p> <p>Physical Location:</p> <p>5570 SW Western Ave</p> <p>Beaverton, OR 97005</p> <p>The Job You Will Perform:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform local deliveries throughout the Portland metro area using a company truck or approved delivery vehicle.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely load, secure, transport, and unload finished goods, materials, and other plant-related items.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate company vehicle safely and professionally while following all company policies, traffic laws, and customer site requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and coordinate truck preventative maintenance, including routine inspections, service scheduling, maintenance tracking, cleanliness, and reporting any safety or mechanical concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Support order fulfillment by picking finished goods consisting of buckets, drums, pallets, and totes to satisfy customer orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Palletize finished goods and prepare shipments for customer delivery, freight pickup, or internal transfer.</p> </li><li> <p>Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other approved material handling equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete bills of lading, delivery paperwork, receiving documents, and other required shipping records accurately.</p> </li><li> <p>Receive inventory into the computer system and help maintain accurate inventory records.</p> </li><li> <p>Call freight carriers and coordinate pickups as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with production team members to understand the status of customer orders and help prioritize shipping needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain good housekeeping in shipping, receiving, warehouse, truck, and production support areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Fill in for shipping and production as needed based on workload, coverage, and supervisor direction.</p> </li><li> <p>Back up shipping functions as needed and support daily plant operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>The Skills You Will Bring:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Always Demonstrate a Safety-First mentality.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. CDL is not required.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to safely operate a company box truck or delivery vehicle for local deliveries throughout the Portland metro area.</p> </li><li> <p>Be goal oriented, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with limited supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, carriers, and team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Be computer literate and able to complete basic shipping, receive inventory, and complete delivery documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess basic math skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to safely operate, or become qualified to operate, a forklift and related material handling equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling packaged materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate a sincere interest and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Be flexible and willing to support shipping, production, housekeeping, and other plant needs as assigned.</p> </li></ul>
