<p>Job Description:</p> <p>NOTICE OF VACANCY</p> <p>POSITION: Building Substitute Teachers</p> <p>LOCATION: Southington Public Schools</p> <p>SALARY: $135.00 per day</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:</p> <p>The building substitute is assigned to a specific building for the school year. Substitute teachers perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent for a day or longer periods of time. Their duties include taking attendance, explaining homework, and maintaining classroom cleanliness. Candidates need to be flexible, as their day-to-day assignments are subject to change.</p> <ul> <li>Arrive to school early enough to familiarize yourself with the environment, lessons and notes a teacher will leave for the day. </li><li>Professional dress code is required.
