As part of the Envestnet AES team, you will be responsible for database development, working closely with our development and architecture teams. You will also collaborate with our SRE teams to maintain the overall health, performance, and reliability of our SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases. You will address complex database challenges and play a key role in the continuous improvement of our databases, thriving in a rapidly evolving engineering environment. Experience with AWS infrastructure, particularly with Aurora using SQL server, MySQL and PostgreSQL, is highly desirable.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Designs, develops, and optimizes databases and environments for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and resilience.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the SRE team to enhance the performance, availability, and scalability of production databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly review OLTP processes, tuning databases, and optimizing queries for improved efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement automation tools and monitoring scripts, actively analyzing production databases to identify performance bottlenecks and proactively addressing issues related to queries, stored procedures, and data models.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for database release deployments, along with automation and monitoring of deployment processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor and guide junior technical resources, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment within the database engineering team.</p> </li><li> <p>Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>BA/BS Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience in a Database Engineer/Administrator role and 3+ years in database design and architecture.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and providing technical support for production environments. Must be able to handle complex database issues across multiple platforms.
