<p>Department</p> <p>PLANT MAINTENANCE - 108061</p> <p>Worker Sub Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Pay Grade</p> <p>114</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Electrician Tradesman installs, tests, inspects, maintains, and repairs electric lights, power distribution circuit controls, and appliances throughout the buildings and grounds.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <p>Receives work orders and coordinates work to fit schedule as assigned by Supervisor.</p> <p>Estimates time and materials required on work order.</p> <p>Maintains facility nurse call system, paging, mechanical alarm and medical gas alarm systems.</p> <p>Repairs electric motors, controllers and other auxiliary electrical devices.</p> <p>Makes emergency repairs to medical equipment.</p> <p>Install new wiring and electrical machinery; works from prints and diagrams to determine layout, location, and specifications of items to install.</p> <p>Bend and install conduit.</p> <p>Install concealed wiring.</p> <p>Isolate and repair defective circuits as required.</p> <p>Dismantle electrical machinery and break connections; replace defective parts; reassemble, and test for proper operation.</p> <p>Check and repair lighting systems.</p> <p>Maintain and repair central clock system.</p> <p>Inventory stock, and requisition supplies to maintain adequate supply.</p> <p>Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations.</p> <p>Maintains CATV cabling system throughout the facility when noted and troubleshoot the system to determine where problems or damage may have occurred.</p> <p>Assists the fire alarm testing company, as needed, to maintain facility fire alarm system.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma required</p> <p>Trade School or Apprenticeship; knowledge of NEC Code changes and updates</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Three to five years of experience as a licensed and/or practicing journey level tradesperson preferred</p> <p>Five years of commercial, industrial, or health care organization experience preferred</p> <p>Certification & Licensure</p> <p>State's Journeyman's Electrical License is required</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and sketches required</p> <p>Ability to provide technical advice to tradespeople required</p> <p>Ability to manage projects required</p> <p>Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills required</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>At Valley Health, we believe everyone is a caregiver, and our goal is to create an environment where our caregivers thrive physically, financially, and emotionally.
