<p>Who You Are:</p> <ul> <li>Very outgoing, extroverted and completely metal, but professional and disciplined. Has a punk-rock bloodlust for terrifying people and lives by the tenet, "your screams are my applause." </li><li>Comfortable wearing latex, silicone and other forms of make-up and prosthetics. </li><li>Willing and able to follow direction, and agile to fit the role or placement assigned to you. </li><li>Being available Friday-Sunday gives you first priority over the role(s) you want to play. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Safely scare guests while maintaining the setting and atmosphere of the zone of attraction. </li><li>Wear and maintain costumes, and stage makeup/prosthetics for extended periods of time, and appropriately utilize assigned props. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of attraction, zone, or performance venue. </li><li>Energetically interact with guests and not break character for the duration of the shift. </li><li>Rotate in gatekeeping/front of house positions to group and manage guest throughput at attractions. </li><li>Memorize any necessary and/or assigned dialogue, safety spiels, emergency exit plans, safety operating procedures, and park guidelines. </li><li>Make appearances at special park functions or occasionally serve as an usher for entertainment venues. </li><li>Comply with all company and safety guidelines as listed in the employee handbook. </li><li>Other duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>How You Will Do It</p> <ul> <li>Maintain Costume Character Standards as set forth by Six Flags. </li><li>Maintain character costumes including general cleaning and daily maintenance. </li><li>Maintain and clean show venues, backstage areas, and dressing rooms. </li><li>Maintain all of the guidelines outlined in the department and character training </li><li>You may be asked to apply both your own make-up and/or prosthetics </li><li>Willfully perform duties in any department at The Great Escape Resort when necessary </li><li>Be an active team member of the Operations Division and the Entertainment Department </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members </li><li>Follow all delegated tasks assigned by Entertainment Supervisor or as stated in the Entertainment Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>What You Will Need</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be at least 16 years old.</p> </li><li> <p>If you're under 18, you must obtain a Child Performer Permit by 9/15/25.</p> </li><li> <p>To apply for your permit, visit the DOL website here: https://dol.ny.gov/information-child-performers</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be available for training and/or rehearsals prior to the beginning of Fright Fest.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, late nights, and some weekday evenings.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time</p> </li><li> <p>Actors who are also experienced in make-up and/or prosthetics are strongly encouraged to apply</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in both natural and artificial lighting including Strobes, Fog, Haze, and other technical/special effects. Must be alert, attentive, observant, and assertive as needed in a fast-paced, multi-functional position.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be willing and able to interact with guests on an individual level as well as large groups of all ages.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, twist, sit and lift up to 40 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform essential job duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be a self-starter and able to take direction.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain all Great Escape policies and Department Safety Standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with all company and safety guidelines as listed in the employee handbook.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as requested.</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Rate: $15.50/hr</p> <p>Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hr (Specialty Performers/ex: juggling, acrobatics)</p>
