In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with domestic and import complex suppliers to ensure all critical deliveries arrive at our various distribution locations on time to meet inventory demands. You will also be expected to escalate urgent delivery issues to key stakeholders and promptly report any anticipated delivery delays to management. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.</p> <p>A day on the job looks like this:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring and reporting any inventory shortages that could impact our ability to fulfill orders on time, ensuring business continuity </li><li>Contacting suppliers to confirm receipt of purchase orders and ensure timely shipment arrivals </li><li>Escalating urgent supply-and-demand deficiencies to key stakeholders, including Planning Management, Vendor Management and Transportation Management </li><li>Updating and maintaining order inventory in SAP to ensure accurate order history </li><li>Maintaining constant communication with suppliers during the production and transit phases of each order </li><li>Promptly notifying management of any critical shipment delays </li><li>Collaborating with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues that could delay payment processing </li><li>Informing various warehouses of urgent shipment arrivals </li><li>May manage tasks including the development of strategies and administration of policies, processes and resources within the Expediting department </li></ul> <p>Got the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of expediting experience, or a comparable degree in a business-related field </li><li>High school diploma required </li><li>Proficient in analyzing data to inform decisions and strategies </li><li>Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure </li><li>Thorough understanding of current sales trends to anticipate and address supply chain needs </li><li>Strong sense of urgency with effective follow-through on tasks </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the role </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective stakeholder interaction </li><li>High degree of expertise in expediting, with the ability to solve complex and unique issues/problems </li><li>Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy </li></ul> <p>And here's our end of the bargain!</p> <p>At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.</p> <p>For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $22.59 - $26.44 depending on relevant experience & skillset.</p> <p>This range is indicative of projected hiring range.
