<p>Assistant Project Manager (6-8 Month Contract)</p> <p>Location: Terminal 1, JFK International Airport - New York City, NY</p> <p>Pay: $35-$50/hour (based on experience)</p> <p>Contract Duration: 6-8 months</p> <p>Experience Level: 2-5 years</p> <p>? Role Overview</p> <p>As an Assistant Project Manager (APM), you'll be at the heart of a dynamic aviation construction project. You'll support the Project Manager and Superintendent in coordinating all aspects of the build-from documentation and scheduling to safety and quality control. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in managing contract documents and scope of work </li><li>Track and support RFIs, submittals, and procurement processes </li><li>Participate in design reviews and client implementation activities </li><li>Coordinate survey and layout efforts with the Superintendent </li><li>Collaborate with internal tech teams to ensure jobsite tech readiness </li><li>Monitor project schedules and budgets; assist in risk mitigation </li><li>Prepare reports on cost tracking, schedule updates, and safety </li><li>Maintain control of project documentation and close-out materials </li><li>Review shop drawings and samples for accuracy </li><li>Help enforce jobsite safety and quality standards </li><li>Support bid review and procurement alongside the PM </li><li>Track change orders and assist with cost reporting </li><li>Attend meetings, track open items, and follow up on deliverables </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>2-5 years of construction experience (aviation experience is a plus)</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, drawings, and construction standards</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Procore or similar software preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>OSHA Certification</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred:</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with aviation projects</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with PANYNJ procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Design-build project experience</p> </li><li> <p>Cost control and reporting experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Work on a landmark aviation project at one of the world's busiest airports </li><li>Collaborate with a passionate, experienced, and supportive team </li><li>Gain valuable experience in a high-profile, fast-paced environment </li><li>Opportunity to grow into a leadership role </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
