<p>The McHenry County Division of Transportation has an opening in their office for a full time Regional Planning Liaison.</p> <p>Location: 16111 Nelson Rd Woodstock IL</p> <p>Hours: 8am - 4:30pm</p> <p>Work Week: Monday - Friday</p> <p>Work from home opportunities: This position does have some flexibility for working remote on occasion</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Regional Planning Liaison is a communication link between the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the McHenry County Division of Transportation (MCDOT), and McHenry County area municipalities. This position also serves as the primary staff person for the McHenry County Council of Mayors and programmer for their federal Surface Transportation Program (STP).</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Provides general liaison and technical assistance with regional comprehensive planning efforts undertaken by CMAP by communicating and coordinating with local municipalities, or in other capacities as requested by CMAP. </li><li>Reviews and submits reports and forms on behalf of member communities and MCDOT, </li><li>Monitors the program of state/federally funded transportation projects within the McHenry County area. Maintains and modifies the CMAP Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) database for MCDOT and the Council of Mayors as needed </li><li>Organizes and prepares meeting materials for regular McHenry County Council of Mayors meetings. </li><li>Updates the Council website with documents and resources </li><li>Attends and coordinates CMAP and IDOT meetings and communicates relevant information to MCDOT and the local municipalities. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, public administration or related field from an accredited college or university is required. </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Other required duties:</p> <ul> <li>Required to travel to the Chicago loop for meetings on a regular basis. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>3 Medical plans, 2 dental plans, and 2 vision plans to choose from. </li><li>Pension: Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) </li><li>Nationwide Retirement Solutions (457 and Roth457) plans </li><li>Standard Life insurance policy with the option to buy up additional coverage for EE and dependents. </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment Programs </li><li>Paid vacation, sick, personal days and 13 paid holidays. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to successfully pass a background screening.</p> <p>McHenry County is an equal opportunity employer.
