<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Chief of Staff (COS) to the hospital CEO is a key strategic advisor and operational leader who supports the CEO in managing the hospital's complex and often politically sensitive environment. This individual is responsible for driving key initiatives, enhancing organizational alignment, and supporting the overall effectiveness of executive leadership. The role combines strategy, operations, and executive-level communications with oversight of high-impact projects and external partnerships to advance the health systems mission and long-term goals. As Chief of Staff in a public hospital, individual must also navigate public accountability, budget constraints, unionized environments, and community engagement.</p> <p>Key Competencies & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>High emotional intelligence and professional discretion </li><li>Executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement </li><li>Healthcare systems expertise (delivery models, regulations, reimbursement) </li><li>Cross-functional project management and leadership </li><li>Business and financial analysis </li><li>Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and consensus-building skills </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Masters degree in health administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or related field required </li><li>5 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, health system management, or external affairs within a complex healthcare organization </li><li>Proven track record of executing large-scaled initiatives and fostering high-level partnerships </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working directly with C-level executives </li><li>Background in healthcare consulting, strategy, project management, or operations </li><li>Proven success leading enterprise-wide or cross-functional initiatives </li><li>Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulatory and compliance frameworks </li><li>Professional writing or executive communications experience </li></ul> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Monday-Fridays, days in between hours of 7:00am-5:00pm</p> <p>Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Recruitment Office: Human Resources</p>
