Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.</p> <p>This role in summary</p> <p>We are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst of Engineering/WCM Site Lead opening to join our Whirlpool Commercial Laundry team. Who will lead the implementation of the WCM methodology, being an expert in both theory and practice, to ensure improved efficiency of industrial processes. Lead and coordinate the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring they align with the Whirlpool Production System (WPS) across all plant areas. Develop strategies grounded in plant KPIs to drive their advancement. Expertly guide the implementation of the WCM methodology, applying both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to enhance industrial process efficiency. You will be responsible for safety, cost, and quality improvements and supporting operations to achieve division goals. Also, you will Support the Fall River operation by identifying the main losses to attack, using problem solving and industrial engineering tools, as well as supporting the implementation and expansion of the WO (Workplace Organization) pillar and the implementation of the focused improvement pillar using the WPI tools for the full development and implementation of the new product </p> <p>Your responsibilities will include</p> <ul> <li>Orient and train staff with World Class Manufacturing tools </li><li>Be responsible for leading and directing the successful implementation of the company's World Class Manufacturing strategy. </li><li>Implement the WPS methodology for identifying strengths and weaknesses to help identify areas that need improvement to become world-class. </li><li>Facilitate kaizen events when requested by the management team. </li><li>Validate the problem-solving methodology for each kaizen. </li><li>Conduct follow-up audits of the implemented tools. </li><li>Identify, analyze, and solve manufacturing process issues and equipment-related problems to continuously improve business KPI results for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People. </li><li>Develop and implement a New Product utilizing the WPI (Workplace Integration) Tools, focusing on achieving specific key performance Indicators (KPI) at each station, such as Non Value Added Activity (NVAA) reduction, Golden Zone achievement, % Unbalanced, etc. The WPI process also provides a forum used to identify unknown or open issues and assign responsibility for follow-up and resolution prior to Station Readiness (SR). </li><li>Prioritize, scope, and define projects (Own and others' projects) </li><li>Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow and improving layout and work stations. </li><li>Responsible for managing the continuous improvement building area where we design and build our racks, fixtures, </li><li>Demonstrate leadership through the development of team Leaders in the area to help drive daily work and long term </li></ul> <p>Minimum requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering </li><li>3+ years of experience with process improvement implementations (including all types of kaizens) </li><li>5+ years of Manufacturing experience </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Preferred skills and experiences</p> <ul> <li>Master Degree </li><li>Knowledge of lean principles and the ability to apply them to establish and/or improve processes </li><li>Experience with computer skills including MS Office, Autocad, SAP, and Google. </li><li>ProPlanner and MODAPTS experience </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, decision-making, planning, project management, and leadership skills </li><li>WCM Knowledge (World Class Manufacturing), TPS or similar </li><li>Detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Additional information</p> <p>Whirlpool's Ways of Working</p> <p>Our goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
