<p>R. J. Corman Switching Company is hiring Mechanical Team Members to join our growing team in Prichard, WV.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform railcar inspections to identify defects. </li><li>Perform railcar repairs per AAR standards. </li><li>Track and document repairs as required. </li><li>Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean & safe. </li><li>Ensure that the employees are working in a safe manner. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Railcar Mechanical experience preferred. </li><li>Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching experience a plus. </li><li>General knowledge of hydraulic and power tools. </li><li>Must have good communication and people skills with demonstrated ability to develop team work and work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to perform physical strenuous work. </li><li>Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. </li><li>Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80 lbs. </li><li>Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails and ballast in a safe manner. </li><li>Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions: Performs duties in outside environments, in and around moving locomotives, railcars, vehicles, and equipment.
