<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>The vacant position of the Facilities/ Equipment Maintenance Technician functions as a member of the operations team providing essential services to the assigned caseload of maintenance service requests. The incumbent will perform duties such as, plumbing, heating and cooling and provide preventive maintenance on all plumbing, heating and air conditioningequipment. The position is vital to our daily maintenance operations and to relieve current operations staff from mandatory overtime requirements. To receive an email notice anytime jobs in this or other categories are posted, you may choose to complete aJob Interest Cardfrom the slide-out menu located at the top left of ourJob Opportunitiespage.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school.</p> <p>Substitution: Experience in air-conditioning, heating or refrigeration may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work.</p> <p>Special Requirement: Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling.</p>
