<p>Nursing Program Clinical Instructor</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>$40.00 per hour</p> <p>Summary of Function:</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, are responsible for the supervision and training of nursing students in clinical sites. Helps with clinical skills, and laboratory experiences and assists with simulation experiences.</p> <p>Typical Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Student Learning: Serves Students. Provides clinical Instruction and supervision of students in the clinical and lab settings, adhering to the policies of the clinical setting and AWC. Orients students to the clinical setting. Challenges the students' clinical reasoning skills and fosters the application of skill and knowledge development. Is available at all times the student is in the clinical setting. Observe and guide students' learning activities with clients. Evaluates the performance of each student according to the evaluation criteria provided. Provides students with constructive weekly, formative, and summative feedback regarding their clinical performance to assist students in further growth and skill development. </li><li>Course Team: Provides weekly and/or timely feedback to the faculty team regarding individual students at risk of failure and/or group performance that may impact their clinical success. Provides feedback to their course faculty team and the clinical facilitator, regarding the clinical setting's effectiveness in supporting student accomplishment of the course and </li></ul> <p>program outcomes. Develop and maintain good professional relations with students and employees in clinical sites.</p> <ul> <li>Program: Responsible for maintaining an updated, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Arizona. Maintains current AWC nursing program continuing education requirements and competencies. Attends required Clinical Nursing Orientation held at the beginning of each semester. </li><li>Supports and participates in strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a minimum 3 years of nursing experience in the acute care setting </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Nursing </li></ul> <p>Additional Eligibility Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess or be eligible for an Arizona license as a Registered Nurse </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li></ul> <p>Classification:</p> <ul> <li>Non-Exempt </li></ul> <p>Position Type & Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>9 months </li><li>Part-Time </li><li>19 hours per week (Hours will vary) </li><li>May include some Fridays, evenings, and weekends </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to be self-directed </li><li>Ability to communicate professionally, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting </li><li>Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff for a diverse and multi-cultural background </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college </li><li>Must be organized </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Inside a healthcare environment with normal noise and lighting levels </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Long periods of standing and/or walking </li><li>Sitting </li><li>Bending </li><li>Standing </li><li>Kneeling </li><li>Lifting patients </li></ul> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation </li></ul> <p>Note:</p> <ul> <li>Various clinical sites in Yuma County </li><li>Not benefit eligible </li></ul> <p>POSTING DATE:</p> <p>February 4, 2025</p> <p>CLOSING DATE:</p> <p>This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE:</p> <p>The following materials must be uploaded at the time of application.
