Experience Cortland dives deep into the region's offerings </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate campus moving vans/trucks with power tailgate. </li><li>Perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort. </li><li>Works with another Motor Vehicle Operator to relocate items ranging from heavy office furniture such as file cabinets and desks to lighter items such as boxed items. </li><li>Processing furniture move requests, equipment move request, shred bin requests, room function setups and tear-downs, relocation of official campus records, etc. </li><li>Assist with light building maintenance tasks such as dismantling modular furniture as part of removal and delivery as needed. </li><li>Work in other Facilities Operations and Services areas as needed. </li><li>This position works in all kinds of weather conditions indoors and outdoors. </li></ul> <p>Functional and Supervisory Relationships Required Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates must possess a New York State Driver's License appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks requiring medium to heavy physical labor. </li><li>Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions indoors and outdoors. </li><li>Ability to safely operate appropriate motor vehicles, pallet trucks and forklifts. </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with others via email and phone. </li></ul> <p>About the University EEO Statement</p> <p>The State University of New York at Cortland is an Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity/Americans with Disabilities Act (AA/EEO/ADA) employer.
