<p>Additional Information About the Role</p> <ul> <li> <p>Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed one (1) semester of a fundamental medical/surgical clinical</p> </li><li> <p>2 shifts every six weeks-Rotating</p> </li><li> <p>Days: 7:00am-7:30pm</p> </li><li> <p>Nights: 7:00pm-7:30am</p> </li><li> <p>Holiday Rotation</p> </li></ul> <p>Overview</p> <p>Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.</p> <p>The telemetry unit is a 32 bed unit, with all private rooms. Patients are under continuous cardiac monitoring with clinical conditions that need closer observation and care.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Role Purpose</p> <p>Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology.
