<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>The RNFA collaborates with the surgeon and the interdisciplinary health care team to ensure safe surgical procedures and optimal patient outcomes.</p> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>BSN from an accredited school of nursing. </li><li>Successful completion of an RNFA Program </li><li>Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Michigan </li><li>Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) </li><li>BLS Certification American Heart Association </li><li>Minimum of three years of perioperative nursing experience. </li><li>Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Assists with positioning, prepping and draping the patient </li><li>Provide hemostasis under surgeon supervision, including clamping, coagulating, and ligating vessels </li><li>Performs wound closures as directed, including suturing drains, fascia, subcutaneous tissue, and skin </li><li>Handles tissue as directed by a surgeon. </li><li>Applies surgical dressing, application of casts, splints, or immobilizing devices </li><li>Assists in surgical case preparation (equipment, supplies, and instruments). </li><li>Participates in volume replacement or auto transfusion, when appropriate. </li><li>Selects and applies appropriate wound dressing. </li><li>Provides assistance in securing drainage systems to tissue. </li><li>Anticipate the surgeon's needs to expedite the operative procedure. </li></ul> <p>What you will work:</p> <ul> <li>Full time </li><li>40 hours per week </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
