Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <p>The teacher of voice is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching voice lessons to students; relevant techniques and performance skills. </li><li>Developing and implementing lesson plans catering to students' needs and skill levels. </li><li>Selecting appropriate repertoire and musical pieces for students to work on during lessons and performances. </li><li>Staying updated with current trends and developments in voice pedagogy and incorporating innovative teaching methods into lessons. </li><li>Meeting weekly with students to provide 30-minute or 60-minute lessons throughout the term. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Professional Experience/ Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in teaching singing lessons on a one-on-one basis, with preference for experience teaching at the collegiate level. </li><li>Professional performance experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate and work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Professional performing experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in music required, master's degree preferred.</p> <p>Physical Requirements Other Information</p> <p>Please note: applicants must provide a link to a 10-minute sample of a performance in their resume.</p>
