<p>Assistant to the Associate Dean-AAD, College & Unit Law</p> <p>About AAD, College & Unit Law</p> <p>The Assistant to the Associate Dean of Alumni Affairs and Development (AAD) at Cornell Law School plays a vital role in supporting the Associate Dean, the AAD professional staff, and AAD activities involving the Dean of Cornell Law School. This position encompasses a wide range of administrative and organizational responsibilities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's operations.</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>The AAD, College & Unit Law Department is seeking an Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Associate Dean and Alumni Affairs and Development (AAD) team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide high-level administrative support to the Associate Dean, managing correspondence, travel arrangements, and financial processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee office management functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate calendars and logistics for meetings, including Law School Advisory Council gatherings and donor events.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and execute key alumni and donor engagement events.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain department records and support communication with stakeholders.</p> </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time (39 hours/week) endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY. This position follows a 3:2 campus-to-hybrid work arrangement after a period of orientation and training. Tuesdays are a required in-person workday to participate in department meetings. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Work hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday through Friday.</p> <p>What You Need</p> <p>We are seeking a proactive team member with strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a resourceful mindset. Additionally, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hold an Associates degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.</p> </li><li> <p>Have experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.</p> </li><li> <p>Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.</p> </li><li> <p>Have strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.</p> </li><li> <p>Have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to handle highly sensitive information with strict confidentiality and proficiency in desktop applications, databases, network systems, and internet use.</p> </li><li> <p>Have experience in coordinating events and meetings, along with the ability to manage budgets, operating accounts, and prepare related business documentation</p> </li></ul> <p>If you possess these experiences and skills this may be the role for you! There are a few other qualifications we would view as incredibly helpful in this role, to include:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer knowledge and experience with the University's policies and procedures. Knowledge of Alumni Affairs and Development would be beneficial.
