<p>A client with Kforce is seeking a Workday Data Engineer/SQL Consultant to join their team in Orlando, FL. This person must be local, but the manager is open to remote.</p> <p>Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>Support Workday data extraction and reporting efforts </li><li>Write and optimize complex SQL queries to locate, transform, and load Workday data into Snowflake </li><li>Assist in building and orchestrating data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) </li><li>Generate files and reports from Snowflake for downstream systems </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to understand Workday's data model and identify where data resides </li><li>Support data curation efforts for Parcor inventory control tower by integrating data from multiple systems into Snowflake </li><li>Contribute to Snowflake orchestration and data flow design </li><li>Optional: Explore opportunities to apply AI to improve data workflows and reporting efficiency* Strong SQL expertise: Ability to write performant queries and troubleshoot data issues </li><li>Data engineering experience: Especially in environments with complex data flows and multiple source systems </li><li>Workday familiarity: Not required, but a strong plus; Must be able to learn the Workday data model quickly with guidance </li><li>Snowflake: Experience preferred, but candidates with strong database backgrounds who can ramp up quickly are welcome </li><li>ADF (Azure Data Factory): Experience with orchestration and data movement pipelines </li><li>Data curation: Understanding of how to structure and prepare data for reporting and integration </li><li>Self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal handholding </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills-especially in locating and understanding unfamiliar data structures </li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li></ul> <p>Nice-to-Have Skills:</p> <ul> <li>AI/ML exposure: Experience applying AI to data engineering or reporting tasks is a major plus </li><li>Power BI: Not a focus, but any exposure is fine </li></ul>
