Must be flexible to adjust work schedule based on program needs.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Recreation Coordinator II oversees recreational activities including programs, rentals and special events for the City of Corpus Christi's Youth and Adult Recreation and Athletic programs. This position is responsible for all aspects of gym facilities to include maintenance, revenue, recreation programs, and completing administrative duties while ensuring the Youth and Adult programs are supervised.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement recreational programs by organizing programs for special events, sports leagues, workshops, evenings and after school programs </li><li>Assist with marketing of programs and surveys </li><li>Implement measurement programs to include staff, equipment, location and overall safety of programs for participants </li><li>Network with community agencies to collaborate on programs </li><li>Oversee the operation of facility by requisitioning supplies and equipment, report and follow up on work orders and maintenance projects, and ensure the facility is clean and set up properly </li><li>Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional image and attitude for internal and external customers </li><li>Disseminate information on all City policies and programs to staff </li><li>Supervise and monitor facility staff including full time, seasonal, contract employees and volunteer and community service workers </li><li>Prepare weekly staff work schedules and assignments and provide training and evaluate staff performance on a daily basis </li><li>Complete administrative duties by making recommendations to budget items, calculating, approving or denying scholarships, and preparing deposits and revenue items </li><li>Traveling and commuting to various sites throughout the City is required </li><li>May be asked to perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Certification, Licenses or Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>CPR Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire </li><li>Standard First Aid Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education, Training and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
