In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support aggregate production while maintaining a strong focus on equipment care, material quality, and site safety.</p> <p>This position works in a high-production environment and offers the opportunity to be part of a team that values safety, precision, and reliability. Previous aggregate or mining experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with solid operating experience and a strong work ethic</p> <p>Core Competency Areas & Responsibilities</p> <p>Equipment Operation & Production Support</p> <ul> <li>Safely operate front-end loaders and other mobile equipment to feed material into the aggregate processing plant. </li><li>Maintain consistent production flow by properly managing material levels and plant feed. </li><li>Monitor material quality and report any issues that impact production or specification. </li><li>Communicate effectively with plant operators and supervisors to coordinate production needs. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Care & Inspections</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections. </li><li>Monitor equipment performance during operation and report abnormal conditions immediately. </li><li>Keep equipment clean and properly staged for the next shift. </li><li>Identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and ensure they are documented and addressed. </li></ul> <p>Safety & Site Awareness</p> <ul> <li>Follow all company safety policies, MSHA guidelines, and environmental regulations. </li><li>Maintain constant awareness of surroundings, traffic patterns, and plant activity. </li><li>Participate in safety meetings, training, and job hazard assessments. </li><li>Actively promote a safe and responsible work environment for yourself and others. </li></ul> <p>General Site Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with cleanup and housekeeping of working areas as needed. </li><li>Support plant operations during startups, shutdowns, and shift changeovers. </li><li>Perform additional production-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Key Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Heavy Equipment Operation: Experience operating front-end loaders, haul trucks, or similar equipment preferred. </li><li>Safety Focused: Strong commitment to working safely and following procedures at all times. </li><li>Situational Awareness: Ability to recognize hazards and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Communication: Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and team members. </li><li>Reliability: Dependable attendance and ability to work independently during night shift operations. </li><li>Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, climb ladders/stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li><li>Prior experience in aggregates, mining, construction, or a similar industrial environment preferred. </li><li>Ability to work night shift, overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as required. </li></ul> <p>EOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP</p>
