<p>Part time Music Teacher (.53 FTE approx 3.75 hours)</p> <p>Clearcreek Elementary</p> <p>SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides daily instruction to assigned students; prepares daily lesson plans;</p> <p>supervises participation in curricular, co-curricular, and related activities. Reports to the building principal.</p> <p>DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Writes, arranges and directs music for various programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in: various musical instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Arranges and or assists with elementary/secondary music programs as assigned. Provides instruction to assigned</p> </li></ol> <p>students utilizing teaching strategies and techniques and motivational techniques to present planned daily</p> <p>lessons.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Prepares daily lesson plans which incorporate textbook materials, supplemental instructional materials, audio and </li></ol> <p>visual aids, critical thinking skills, courses of study, etc.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Supervises and disciplines students (e.g., classroom, hallways, restrooms, lunchroom, assemblies, bus duty, etc.) </li></ol> <p>following the student discipline code.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Evaluates students through the utilization of teacher made tests, standardized tests and observations (e.g., </li></ol> <p>academic, social, personal, motor, PPO's, etc.).</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Follows and utilizes Individual Educational Plans for those students identified and assigned for instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs required supplemental duties (e.g., takes attendance, grade card reporting, interim reports, state</p> </li></ol> <p>reports, book orders, supply orders, emergency medical forms, insurance forms, fee collections, student's</p> <p>cumulative folder, bulletin boards, etc.).</p> <ol start="9"> <li> <p>Schedules and confers with parents periodically.</p> </li><li> <p>Confers with school personnel (e.g., principal, teachers, counselor, psychologist, supervisors, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Provides intervention for those students who have been identified as requiring additional academic instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Inventories assigned facility areas and provides inventory data to the Building Principal's office.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in, cooperates with and helps supervise emergency preparedness drills (e.g., tornado, fire, etc.).</p> </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or advanced degree </li><li>Valid Ohio teaching license/certificate with proper certification for grade level / concentration </li><li>Must pass criminal background check. </li><li>Hours: 3.83 hours per day/ 185 day contract </li></ul> <p>CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Effective Date: 2025-2026 School Year </li><li>Length of Employment: One Year Limited Contract </li><li>Salary and Fringe Benefits: Based on the current negotiated agreement. </li></ul>
