<p>Full time position assisting multiple classrooms on a 4 day rotation with one day off per week, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Assistant will follow Lead Teacher's classroom expectations and the Montessori Philosophy in all activities. Primary Responsibilities are as follows:</p> <p>Maintain the prepared environment</p> <p>Promote independence, self-learning and responsibility</p> <p>Be prepared to step into the role of the lead teacher in their absence</p> <p>Develop afternoon projects and assist students in completing them.</p> <p>Build relationships with families</p> <p>Participate in community events</p> <p>Create a school to be proud of</p> <p>Qualifications: Minimum:</p> <p>18 years of age</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>Some Montessori experience or training</p> <p>Experience working with children in a school setting</p> <p>Salary Range: $10.50 - $15 hourly depending on experience</p> <p>Description of Community: Each employee, as an important member of the MSC community, makes a positive contribution to the character of our community, helps maintain a respectful and cooperative atmosphere, shares responsibility for the safety and well-being of its members, and cooperates in the administration of MSC policies and procedures.
