<p>Location: Tooele, UT</p> <p>Shift: Weekend Night Shift - Thursday-Saturday, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM (subject to change based on business needs)</p> <p>Schedule: Work 36 hours, get paid for 48 hours</p> <p>Pay: $33.38/hour + $1.50 shift differential</p> <p>Sign-On Bonus: $3,000</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Shift schedule: Thursday-Saturday, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM. No travel required.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work </li><li>Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems </li><li>Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair </li><li>Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures. </li><li>Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications </li><li>Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists </li><li>Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information </li><li>Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance </li><li>Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations </li><li>Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies. </li><li>Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas </li><li>Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures </li><li>Knowledge of various hand and power tools </li><li>Prior experience operating a forklift </li><li>Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information </li><li>Effective communication and problem-solving skills </li><li>Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills </li><li>Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations </li><li>Ability to use hand & portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP). </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Required: </li><li>Education - High School diploma or GED </li><li>One to two (1-2) years related maintenance experience </li><li>Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler. </li><li>Mechanical background with rotating Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels. </li><li>Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment. </li><li>Confined workspaces </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:</p> <ul> <li>Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor </li><li>Safety toe shoes (steel/composite). </li><li>Flame Resistant rated Maintenance uniform provided </li><li>Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department </li></ul>
