Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.</p> <p>What Benefits can you Look Forward to?</p> <ul> <li>Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day </li><li>2:1 Match on retirement savings </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <ul> <li>Check in and check out patients of their in person and virtual care visits. </li><li>Schedule new and return patient visits determining appropriate clinic provider based on specified standards. </li><li>Schedule clinic visits, diagnostic services and ambulatory procedures for patients. </li><li>Determine the existence of previous UMHS registration. </li><li>Obtain and update insurance, financial, and demographic information with the patient. </li><li>Notify patients of appointment changes. </li><li>Inform patients of necessary preparations prior to visit or test in accordance with established guidelines. </li><li>Collect cash and credit card payments from patients using charge capture system. </li><li>Collect cash and credit card payments from patients using established guidelines to determine patient pay portion and provide receipt of payment. </li><li>Provide information to patient regarding billing procedures. </li><li>Reconcile clinic cash collections daily according to specified clinic standards. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Prior Cadence, MiChart and Aspect phone systems experience. </li><li>Previous experience in an ambulatory care clinical setting. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology. </li><li>Experience working within a large, complex health care setting. </li><li>Demonstrated record of excellent attendance. </li><li>Demonstrated active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team setting. </li><li>Exhibits professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty, and staff. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Shift: Mon-Fri, with late night rotation and weekend rotation</p> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>The position offered is an onsite only position with no option for hybrid/remote work.</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
