Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Include the following. Others may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician's office </li><li>Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician </li><li>Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients </li><li>Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable </li><li>Ensures medical documentation of office visits </li><li>Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Required: High school diploma or GED</p> <p>Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program</p> <p>Certification:</p> <p>Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)</p> <p>Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma</p> <p>Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience</p> <p>Sign on bonus is for new hires only!</p> <p>#LI-MS3</p> <p>Organization Description</p> <p>Saint Vincent Medical Group, within Saint Vincent Physician Services, strives to provide patient-centered healthcare and invite our patients and their families to be a part of the care team as shared members in the decision-making and treatment process.
