<p>Job Title: Collateral Loan Servicing Specialist II</p> <p>Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid. 3 days in office.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Collateral Loan Servicing Specialist II establishes relationships with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, other financial institutions, and dealerships to handle all aspects of the auto lien recording process. The role also responds to the inquiries of internal and external customers, provides and handles loan servicing requests for existing loans, resolves issues, and maintains reports.</p> <p>As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:</p> <p>(20%) Handling loan review and maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Handling account review, maintenance, and loan transactions, revisions, or check requests </li><li>Providing loan payoff projections and processing payoff requests </li></ul> <p>(60%) Handling auto loans:</p> <ul> <li>Processing DMV fees </li><li>Following up on dealer payoff check shortages </li><li>Handling accelerated title transactions </li><li>Repair/Manage processing for insurance checks received for collateral loans involved in an accident </li><li>Ensuring lien recording documentation for consumer loans originated conform to Credit Union lending policies, procedures, and state-specific DMV guidelines </li><li>Managing member calls daily to assist with titles and total losses on autos </li><li>Working with title vendor to ensure proper tracking of the title process </li><li>Handling total loss claims: working with members to process their insurance claim, GAP policy, and cancellation of service warranty </li><li>Processing and properly managing all reports produced through our title vendor </li><li>Managing direct disputes received from members regarding their title/lien placement </li><li>Serving as the Subject Matter Expert on titles and loan documents, and providing periodic training to Retail & Digital teams </li><li>Managing service events received from other departments: researching, resolving, and providing members follow up on titles and total loss events </li></ul> <p>(15%) Managing credit issues and loan close-out processes:</p> <ul> <li>Releasing deeds when paid off, and closing second mortgage paid/closed loans </li><li>Processing requests from members to add/remove/refund/file claims for payment protection insurance coverage </li></ul> <p>(5%) Assisting with sales and quality control:</p> <ul> <li>Selling GAP policies and filing claims </li></ul> <p>Interested?
