<p>UNDERSTANDING</p> <p>Retail Giftware Merchandisers play a key role in our customer experience. These team members create and carry out themes for store displays and decorations. They thoughtfully display merchandise on store displays and provide exceptional customer service while on the floor. There is a lot of behind the scenes work these team members perform such as checking in merchandise and verifying quality and quantity, crafting custom pieces for decorative displays, and inventorying and cataloging decorative items. We know that companies with a strong culture & a higher purpose perform better in the long run.</p> <ul> <li>Own It </li><li>Hustle and Refuse to Settle </li><li>Love People </li><li>Act for the Greater Good </li><li>Find a way </li></ul> <p>SCOPE</p> <ul> <li>This team member supports Retail Operations but may also support other departments at the direction of management. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Carry out planned themes through decorative displays in Retail Stores </li><li>Merchandise displays according to seasonal themes </li><li>Communicate packaged item needs with Retail Packaging Supervisor </li><li>Work with management and Retail Packaging Supervisor to create themed gift packages </li><li>Follow the FIFO system when receiving and restocking prepackaged candy items. </li><li>Receive merchandise from vendors. Check for quality and quantity- report any defective items to vendor for credit </li><li>Accurately follow vendor invoices to determine pricing for merchandise. </li><li>Place restock orders with vendors as needed </li><li>Construct or assemble displays and display components. When necessary, utilize the ACG Maintenance and Building and Grounds departments to assist in these projects. </li><li>Ensure that proper signage is in use at all times, to provide details about packaged items and merchandise. </li><li>Maintain proper inventory and storage of decorative items when not in use </li><li>Maintain an up-to-date catalog of decorative themes and displays carried out in stores </li><li>Maintain the organization of the stockroom in which giftware and merchandise items are stored. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to speak, read and write in English. </li><li>Hard worker who is a self-starter and proactive </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills - team player </li><li>Creative personality </li><li>Ability to stand for up to 8 hours </li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Climb ladders safely, comfortable working at heights </li><li>Ability to operate or willingness to be trained on equipment, including pallet jacks and lifts </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Experience in retail merchandising is preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D. </li></ul>
