<p>Overview</p> <p>Join our team as a weekend shift, PRN, Speech Therapy Speech Language Pathologist in Westwood, NJ.</p> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare Better</p> <ul> <li>Thrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being. </li><li>People-First: We prioritize your well-being with a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for. </li><li>Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care. </li></ul> <p>Get to Know Your Team:</p> <ul> <li>Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>To evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties. </li><li>Develop and implement effective treatment plans and provide counseling to patients and their families. </li><li>Establish patient expectations understanding and goals of care. </li><li>Create accurate documentation and reporting, as well as delegation of duties, as appropriate to support personnel. </li><li>Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies as per state guidelines. </li><li>Refer patients to other specialists as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. </li><li>1 year of experience. </li><li>Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Speech and Language Pathologist. </li><li>Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. </li><li>BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>2 years of experience. </li><li>Experience with Electronic Health Records is a plus </li></ul>
