<p>Job Title: Pharmacy Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Pharmacy Technician facilitates the delivery of medications to patients and their families in the hospital and clinic setting, while also helping coordinate payments and insurance verifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in preparing and filling medication orders and medication carts. </li><li>Process prescriptions. </li><li>Distribute medication to patients. </li><li>Perform QA inspections and maintain stock levels in all areas of the hospital. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Pharmacy experience </li><li>Retail pharmacy experience </li><li>Medication refill experience </li><li>Data entry skills </li><li>Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) </li><li>Ability to perform dosage calculations </li><li>Effective communication skills with all levels of hospital personnel </li><li>Proficiency in Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet </li><li>Customer service skills </li><li>Ability to walk around the hospital for extended periods </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>2+ years retail pharmacy technician experience </li><li>Ability to handle high volume - 250+ transactions a day </li><li>National Certification (CPhT or PCTB) </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Working within a large Health System's Outpatient Pharmacy. The shift includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday from 8 AM to 7 PM (8 hours on Wednesday), and every 4th Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM. If working the long shift on Wednesday and Saturday, there will be a day off during the week. Free parking is available on site.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
