<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Classroom Assistant will work with students in classroom and lab environments to complete multimedia communication projects. Assist students in audio video content creation projects such as podcast recording and editing, setting up video camera and lighting equipment and basic video editing. Demonstrate audio video gear such as cameras, microphones, and lighting.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate use of studio equipment to students. </li><li>Provide assistance in course assignments and workflows. </li><li>Record and Edit Podcast with student teams. </li><li>Record and Edit short format video with students. </li></ul> <p>The preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position; other duties may be assigned consistent with the classification of the position.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>A minimum of three (3) years of relevant business experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Adobe CC, MS Office, Google Suite, Canva, and iMovie. </li><li>Familiarity with marketing communications and media production tools and relevant to current industry standard, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. </li><li>Ability to set up, maintain, and demonstrate equipment and workflows to students in a audio/video studio environment. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with student production teams and assist them in meeting course learning objectives. </li><li>Ability to organize and schedule lab appointments outside of class time. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Please note all offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of the background check process.</p> <p>Salary</p> <p>Salary: $54.17 per hour</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Days/Hours: M-F, 22 hours per week, in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.</p> <p>This posting is for one (1) temporary position that is expected to end on or by January 2, 2026.</p> <p>Pay Equity by State Employers</p> <p>Pursuant to Executive Order 161, no State entity, as defined by the Executive Order, is permitted to ask, or mandate, in any form, that an applicant for employment provide his or her current compensation, or any prior compensation history, until such time as the applicant is extended a conditional offer of employment with compensation. The working conditions for this position will be on campus, primarily in an office.
