No other agency possesses the expertise that we do to address today's most pressing challenges to drive business transformation through media.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Manager, Data Governance supports the health and quality of media data across the organization's data architecture, enabling accurate reporting, performance optimization, and actionable insights. This role implements and enforces data governance standards in partnership with regional and global media leadership, supports process improvement and root-cause analysis, and helps operationalize governance through technology and automation.</p> <p>Embedded within the Data & Analytics organization, the role collaborates closely with Measurement, Media Strategy & Planning, Investment, Audience, Creative, and Technology teams to improve data reliability and usability. The position builds strong expertise in data governance, media data operations, and cross-functional collaboration, serving as a key contributor to scalable analytics enablement.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>1) Data Governance Execution & Data Health</p> <ul> <li>Support the execution of the global data governance operating model, ensuring data is accurate, complete, consistent, timely, and fit for decision-making. </li><li>Implement and help enforce global data governance standards in partnership with global and regional media leadership. </li><li>Maintain and socialize standards for data health, including naming conventions, URL/UTM taxonomies, platform input standards, and metadata requirements. </li><li>Execute governance routines such as data health checks, variance analysis, defect triage, and root-cause analysis, track data quality metrics and SLAs. </li><li>Contribute to and maintain data governance documentation, playbooks, and reference materials. </li></ul> <p>2) Media Data Operations & Quality Management</p> <ul> <li>Support the validation, optimization, and reconciliation of media and campaign data across markets and channels. </li><li>Investigate data anomalies identified in reporting platforms and coordinate timely resolution with relevant teams. </li><li>Identify non-compliant data inputs (e.g., naming violations, missing parameters, inconsistent IDs) and support corrective actions. </li><li>Help balance global consistency with necessary market-level nuances. </li></ul> <p>3) Cross-Functional Process Enablement</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate communications and workflows across Media Strategy & Planning, Media Investment, Ad Operations, Audience, Creative, Measurement, Technology, and offshore teams. </li><li>Help ensure media buys, plans, and required metadata are entered correctly into buying systems and vendor platforms to support accurate reporting. </li><li>Partner with offshore teams to help maintain media data warehouses in alignment with governance and analytics requirements. </li><li>Stay informed on digital operations, buy changes, creative specifications, publisher formats, and evolving tracking capabilities. </li></ul> <p>4) Business Rules & Requirements Support</p> <ul> <li>Translate business and reporting needs into documented governance controls and business rules for data processing and harmonization. </li><li>Partner with Analytics and Technology teams to help embed governance requirements into data pipelines, validation logic, and automation. </li><li>Support the development and maintenance of business requirements documents (BRDs) and technical requirements documents (TRDs). </li><li>Ensure datasets are structured, standardized, and analysis-ready to support reporting and advanced analytics initiatives. </li></ul> <p>5) Training, Compliance & Enablement</p> <ul> <li>Support delivery of global governance training for onshore and offshore teams. </li><li>Reinforce understanding of governance standards and the rationale behind them to drive adoption. </li><li>Develop and maintain job aids, templates, documentation, and enablement materials. </li><li>Monitor adherence to standards and flag operational gaps or recurring issues. </li></ul> <p>6) Continuous Improvement & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Support day-to-day monitoring of data governance health across markets. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in partnership with Technology and Engineering. </li><li>Contribute to regular updates on data quality, risks, and trends for leadership audiences. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in an advertising agency or similar environment, with background in Analytics, Business Analysis, Media Operations, Ad Operations, or Digital Investment. </li><li>Hands-on experience supporting data governance and data quality efforts (e.g., naming conventions, URL taxonomies, platform standards). </li><li>Familiarity with media and marketing data across multiple channels (digital, search, social, offline). </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve data issues. </li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. </li><li>Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain concepts to non-technical audiences. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams. </li><li>Comfortable working with numbers, reconciliations, and operational detail. </li><li>Proficient in Excel; comfortable creating materials in PowerPoint or Keynote. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting multi-market or regional accounts. </li><li>Familiarity with media buying platforms and publisher systems. </li><li>Exposure to BI or reporting tools and data quality monitoring processes. </li><li>Experience working with engineering or technology partners on automation or data workflows. </li><li>Exposure to process improvement or operational documentation efforts. </li></ul> <p>Tools & Platforms</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with programming languages like Python, SQL </li><li>Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, and PowerBI </li><li>Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like HIVE, AirTable, and Microsoft Teams </li><li>Experience with Media & Analytics Platforms: Google Campaign Manager, DV360, Trade Desk, TikTok, Snapchat, Amazon DSP, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Prisma </li></ul> <p>Additional information</p> <p>Our Publicis Groupe motto "Viva La Différence" means we're better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
