We will offer the vaccination at no cost via our Health Centers.</p> <p>SUBSIDIARY: Carson Valley Children's Aid (CVCA)</p> <p>PROGRAM: Truancy Intervention & Prevention Services (TIPS)</p> <p>JOB OVERVIEW:</p> <p>The Truancy Supervisor will supervise up to seven full-time Truancy/Attendance Case Managers providing services to youth and families attending Philadelphia School District public schools and select charter schools. The Truancy Supervisor is responsible for assuring the delivery of services that are meaningful, are culturally competent, and meet the needs of children and families. The Truancy Supervisor is responsible, in cooperation with the Director of Truancy, for the recruitment, training, supervision, and support of truancy program team members. The Truancy Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective service plans for youth and families served. The Truancy Supervisor, in cooperation with program team members, is responsible for the development of new and the revision of existing policies and procedures. The Truancy Supervisor, with assistance from others, is responsible for program development and evaluation.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Major highlights of the position requirements are noted below. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.</p> <ul> <li>Timely submission of required clearances and physicals (periodic) </li><li>Timely submission of timesheets and time-off requests </li><li>Timely submission of expense reimbursement documentation </li><li>Timely review and approval (when appropriate) of timesheets submitted by all assigned team members </li><li>Timely review and approval (when appropriate) of time off requests submitted by all assigned team members </li><li>Timely review and approval (when appropriate) of expense reports and financial request reports submitted by all assigned team members </li><li>Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of the standards of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services and the Council on Accreditation. </li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evaluation procedures for truancy services. </li><li>Directly monitor and guide the activities of Truancy Case Managers via bimonthly supervisory sessions, monthly team meetings, and crisis intervention availability (including evenings and weekends). </li><li>Review and monitor case records monthly to ensure compliance with program standards. </li><li>Treat all family members and other service providers, including DHS, as primary consumers of the Program Manager/Supervisor's services by responding to complaints and/or concerns in a timely and supportive manner. </li><li>Participate in the recruitment, screening, and hiring of program team members. </li><li>Assess needs and facilitate ongoing training for Truancy team members. </li><li>Complete or oversee written probationary and annual evaluations for program team members. </li><li>Recommend to the Associate Director of Truancy Services when termination of employment is appropriate. </li><li>Review and monitor the weekly schedules and tracking forms of team members. </li><li>Provide direct services to families in accordance with program standards in the event of team openings and/or when case capacity is needed (until the open position is filled or caseload numbers are reduced). </li><li>Regular monitoring and assessment of Truancy Case Managers during Regional and Family Court appearances </li><li>Frequent monitoring of documentation completion in the city-wide database </li><li>Frequent monitoring documentation completion on all interagency communication tools (i.e. Attendance Collaborative Worksheet) </li><li>Provide meaningful and purposeful biweekly supervision to all assigned team members. </li><li>Ensure compliance with program and agency policies and procedures for all team members. </li><li>Accept referrals and assign cases to Attendance/Truancy Case Managers. </li><li>Review referral material with assigned team members. </li><li>Track all referral outcomes. </li><li>Ensure continued family enrollment by acting on referrals as defined by program expectations. </li><li>Attend monthly liaison meetings, or as scheduled. </li><li>Represent the agency on select committees related to attendance, truancy, and prevention services. </li><li>Attend conferences and workshops related to the provision of truancy services. </li><li>Serve on the Management Team of the agency. </li><li>Serve on the DHS/OCF Truancy Provider Management team. </li><li>Update agency census, as determined, to reflect program admissions and discharges. </li><li>Ensure case records contain all required documentation. </li><li>Participate in evaluations by external agencies. </li><li>Assist in the development of new and the revision of existing program policies and procedures. </li><li>Compile quarterly data and annual data for the Truancy program. </li><li>Along with the Associate Director of Truancy and the Director of Prevention Services, the Supervisor will guide the activities of direct care team members via meetings, policy and procedure development, and implementation. </li><li>Assist with planning and facilitation of monthly team meetings and trainings, periodically. </li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evaluation procedures for programs and services that encompass the Truancy programs. </li><li>Periodically meet with children/families and team members of the program to evaluate service delivery. </li><li>Participate in evaluations by external agencies. </li></ul> <p>TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Comply with agency annual training requirements. </li><li>Comply with program-specific training requirements (annual and periodic). </li><li>Must pass CPR and First Aid training </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PRIMARY WORK LOCATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assigned Neighborhood Center </li><li>Flexible 40-hour week </li><li>Evening and/or weekend hours required (as needed) </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High ability to maintain composure in high-stress and/or crisis situations with youth, adults, and assigned team members </li><li>Moderate energy needed </li><li>Moderate physical exertion required </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in social work or a related field </li><li>2+ years of supervisory experience </li><li>3+ years of experience working with at-risk children and families, preferably in the child welfare system </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) </li><li>Knowledge of how trauma and lack of access to resources, information, and/or supports can impact family functioning </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, youth, and parents/guardians </li><li>Knowledge of budgeting and planning </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Excellent time management skills </li><li>Effective decision-making skills </li><li>Ability to incorporate various viewpoints into decision-making </li><li>Expert knowledge and working understanding of School District of Philadelphia attendance policies and procedures </li><li>Strong understanding of
