<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Staff/Semi-Senior Accountant in Garden City, New York (NY).</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>The Senior Accountant will have day-to-day management of accounting/bookkeeping engagements including bank reconciliations, bill payment services (AP), general ledger management, and ad-hoc reporting </li><li>Maintains books for clients in industries including Professional Services, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Family Offices </li><li>Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, spending reports, etc. </li><li>Prepare closings and adjusting journal entries </li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual workpapers, including balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and statements </li><li>The Senior Accountant will have contact with clients, client's staff, and other client service providers* Bachelor's degree in Accounting </li><li>2-3+ years of experience (Public Accounting preferred) </li><li>Expertise in QuickBooks </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Word </li><li>Detail-oriented and strong client relationship skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li></ul>
