<p>Title: High School-to-Adult Matriculation Recruiter</p> <p>Salary Range: $18.50 - $22.50</p> <p>Contract Term Length: Not Applicable</p> <p>Standard Hours: 20-25 hours per week</p> <p>Work Location: On-Site</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>College: Owensboro Community & Technical College</p> <p>Campus Location: Owensboro Community College</p> <p>Department: Student Affairs</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused individual to serve as a High School-to-Adult Matriculation Recruiter. This short-term, part-time role is part of an innovative initiative to expand the college's reach by increasing the matriculation of recent high school graduates into OCTC programs. The recruiter will leverage experience as a high school guidance counselor to engage and enroll adult learners who have recently graduated within OCTC's four-county service area (Daviess, Ohio, McLean, and Hancock counties). This is a grant funded position for the period of May 27, - Aug. 1, 2025.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a dedicated recruiter focused on recent high school graduates who have not yet enrolled in college. </li><li>Collaborate with local high school counselors, administrators, and community partners to identify and engage prospective adult learners. </li><li>Conduct outreach campaigns, including direct communication (calls, emails, texts), presentations, and small group meetings with prospective students and their families. </li><li>Create and execute an individualized recruitment plan and communication strategy in coordination with the START Center and Student Affairs leadership. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and student interactions in compliance with college procedures. </li><li>Assist prospective students through the enrollment process, including application submission and initial course registration. </li><li>Evaluate progress weekly and participate in team meetings to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in marketing/communication, education, or similar with one (1) year of relevant work experience is required or equivalent. </li><li>OR associate degree in marketing/communication, education or similar with three (3) years of relevant work experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Former or current high school guidance counselor or similar student services background is preferred. </li><li>Experience working within or familiarity with the Daviess, Ohio, McLean, or Hancock County school systems is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills Requested:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously. </li><li>Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). </li><li>Strong knowledge of the educational and career planning needs of high school graduates. </li><li>Familiarity with the college admissions process, especially for nontraditional or adult learners. </li><li>Passion for helping students access higher education opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Employee Rights - Employee Polygraph Protection Act</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is an equal educational and employment opportunity institution.</p>
