I need someone in this position who is excited for the opportunity to provide outstanding service to the patients of our practice and to our providers, who also has a Medical Assistant background. This position will be taking clinical phone calls and sending and replying to text messages 90% of the time. Patience is a must for this position, since you might be dealing with frustrated and unhappy patients from time to time. To be successful in this position, this candidate must be self-motivated and be able to adapt to different situations presented in the office. Portraying a professional image in the office and in all communications is a must. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions: Facilitates quality patient care under the supervision of the office manager. Verifies patient information including medications and medical history. Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient information confidential. Assists in triaging incoming phone messages and text messages, coordinating with the provider's staff, and calling patients with results. Administers injections, as needed. Submits prescriptions per provider instructions. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Serves and protects the medical practice by adhering to clinic and professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Maintains CPR certification. Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications: Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly and professional and be able to multi-task and work efficiently while remaining calm and productive. Previous medical experience preferred. This position also requires someone who speaks Spanish fluently.</p> <p>Hours: Mon-Friday 7:45AM-5PM, weekends off and paid holidays</p>
