<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>This full-time non-exempt position under the general supervision of the IT Director will assist the IT Department in day-to-day support of department operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide helpdesk support for data network users </li><li>Performing on-site hardware and software moves, additions, maintenance and changes </li><li>Ensuring the data network and all related equipment are in working order </li><li>Providing efficient response and repairs to all trouble reports related to the communications network </li><li>Maintaining camera and card access systems </li><li>Supporting facilities with cell phones and gps systems </li><li>Maintaining records on repairs, down time, changes and updates </li><li>Maintaining the onboarding and offboarding process </li><li>Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed </li><li>Supporting vendor relationships </li><li>Completing other duties as assigned by the IT Director </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Network security, applications installation, distributing software upgrades, and monitoring daily activity and enforcing licensing agreements.</p> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Handling multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision </li><li>Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization </li><li>Be a team player </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely records </li><li>Have ones own reliable vehicular transportation and be willing to travel regionall </li><li>Be available via cell to assist with the IT Departments 24/7 support of the network and communication systems </li><li>Operating systems, including WINDOWS 10,11 and Windows Server 2016,2019 </li><li>Maintain a clearance through the NJ Department of Corrections and the federal Bureau of Prison </li><li>Methods, materials, tools and practices used to install, maintain and enhance information system functions including the network, workstations, servers, and telephony peripherals </li><li>Operation, capabilities and relationship of microcomputers, telephone and attached peripherals in both stand-alone and LAN environments </li><li>Troubleshooting methods, practices and documentation used in network, workstations, software and hardware malfunctions, including techniques in problem resolution, Information systems and modern technological practices </li></ul> <p>Education and Certifications:</p> <p>An associates degree or its equivalent is preferred with a minimum of two years of computer and network experience. Certifications are helpful.</p>
