<p>Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to develop and deploy manufacturing equipment within our cutting-edge battery factories. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.</p> <ul> <li>Establish equipment requirements and develop design concepts </li><li>Develop new manufacturing equipment for a high-volume production environment </li><li>Develop specifications and manage RFQ process for new manufacturing equipment </li><li>Lead and manage project scope from concept through production launch </li><li>Oversee detailed design of new manufacturing equipment </li><li>Develop equipment validation plans </li><li>Coordinate factory readiness and equipment installation </li><li>Function as lead Manufacturing Engineer or Project Manager on new automated manufacturing equipment </li><li>Transitioned products from low-volume prototypes to large-scale production </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel abroad (up to 50%) </li><li>3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience </li><li>Mechanical design and layout development experience in CAD </li><li>Understanding of tolerancing and GD&T </li><li>Understanding of manufacturing equipment safety systems </li><li>Multiple new equipment installations and product launches </li><li>Large manufacturing line implementation </li><li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, similar degree, or equivalent experience </li></ul>
