Ensures the production of quality imaging and prepares pertinent patient information for physician and care team's review. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after imaging procedures.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates CT scanners to produce radiographs according to departmental procedures; ensures the quality of pictures are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures accurate positioning and proper preparation for patients during scanning procedures; conducts timely adjustments of patient position and/or medical dosages according to anatomical circumstances and other technical factors.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection during the imaging process.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates hardcopy record of exam via CD-R, films and data transfer to PACS. Completes exams in Radiology Information System.
