As ambassadors for Jefferson, our Technologists have a profound impact on the lives of patients, families, visitors, and colleagues throughout the health system, exemplifying our commitment to excellence and compassionate care.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Under the supervision of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs Computerized Tomographic (CT) examinations on patients in accordance with established protocol and procedures. Ensures the production of quality imaging and prepares pertinent patient information for physician and care team's review. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after imaging procedures.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates CT scanners to produce radiographs according to departmental procedures; ensures the quality of pictures are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures accurate positioning and proper preparation for patients during scanning procedures; conducts timely adjustments of patient position and/or medical dosages according to anatomical circumstances and other technical factors.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection during the imaging process.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates hardcopy record of exam via CD-R, films and data transfer to PACS. Completes exams in Radiology Information System.
