<p>Job Title: Quality Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The focus of this role is on developing and implementing new and improved inspection techniques across multiple production stages.</p> <p>This position involves collaborating with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to investigate and address complaints, defective products, and quality problems.</p> <p>You will have daily 'hands-on' inspection layout responsibilities to assist with in-process, receiving, and final inspection.</p> <p>Coordination and communication within Quality Assurance and other departments are key to meeting customer on-time-delivery requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement new and improved inspection techniques across multiple production stages. </li><li>Collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to investigate and address complaints, defective products, and quality problems. </li><li>Perform daily 'hands-on' inspection layout responsibilities to assist with in-process, receiving, and final inspection. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate activities within Quality Assurance and with other functional departments to meet customer on-time-delivery requirements. </li><li>Engage in customer-facing responsibilities, including non-conformance review, driving root cause analysis, and documenting corrective actions. </li><li>Analyze complaint data to identify hidden trends and initiate corresponding corrective actions. </li><li>Evaluate and approve raw materials, in-process production, and finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual, and measurement verifications and tests. </li><li>Become an expert on all aspects of gaging, including gage selection, procurement, calibration, maintenance, and training of operators/inspectors in gage/equipment usage. </li><li>Assist in the development of the quality management system and support the company's initiative to obtain ISO9001 certification. </li><li>Perform audits, both internal and at the supplier level. </li><li>Assist in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience without a degree. </li><li>Knowledge of Six Sigma tools. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, statistical trending, and data analysis. </li><li>Experience with CAPA, Root Cause analysis (8Ds, 5Whys, Fishbone Diagrams), Control Plans, and FMEA. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Electronic/Electrical experience is a plus. </li><li>Experience with PPAP. </li><li>Experience with audits. </li><li>ISO 9001 certification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is based in a very clean manufacturing environment with attached office cubicles.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.</p> <p>100% company-paid benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage</p> <p>401k with company match Paid time off/Holiday pay A positive and collaborative work environment</p> <p>Workplace Type</p> <p>This is a fully onsite position in streetsboro,OH.</p> <p>Application Deadline</p> <p>This position is anticipated to close on Mar 28, 2025.</p> <p>About Actalent</p> <p>Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
