<p>Job Description:</p> <p>General Statement</p> <p>Instructors will teach course(s) within a specific discipline to a diverse student population. Responsibilities will include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides students with clinical instruction/supervision and reinforcement of clinical objectives within the clinical setting. </li><li>Determines students' area/room rotation schedule and maintains appropriate clinical records. </li><li>Understands and supports program clinical objectives and evaluation system. </li><li>Evaluates student's clinical competence and clinical progress in accordance with program timelines. </li><li>Provides counseling related to students' clinical performance. </li><li>Maintains competency in the professional discipline, instructional and evaluative techniques through continuing professional development and pursuit of scholarly activities. </li><li>Works collaboratively with clinical staff and program faculty. </li><li>Attends program faculty meetings as appropriate. </li><li>Provides supplemental instruction in the clinical or laboratory setting. </li><li>Actively support the teaching and learning process; working to create and support a student-centered environment. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology. </li><li>Current MA RT license & ARRT certification. </li><li>Equivalent of a minimum of two years full-time professional experience as a radiographer </li><li>Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Evidence of mentoring skills to students. </li><li>Demonstrated clinical proficiency as a radiographer. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS or BA degree. </li><li>Experience as clinical instructor for an accredited radiography program. </li><li>Experience with program curriculum/course development and assessment. </li><li>Experience with personnel supervision, mentoring, and evaluation methods. </li><li>Evidence of understanding of and appreciation for diversity and multi-culturalism. </li><li>Predisposed to work in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork. </li><li>Strong evidence of passionate commitment to striving for excellence in working with students and in responding to opportunities that extend the Mission of the College. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Quinsigamond Community College is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, religion, age, veteran status, genetic information, gender identity or sexual orientation in its programs and activities as required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other applicable statutes and college policies.
