<p>NOW HIRING CDL HOLDERS FOR WINTER SNOW & ICE SEASON!!</p> <p>Enjoy working outdoors?</p> <p>Want to make a difference in the great State of Ohio?</p> <p>If the answer is YES, we have the opportunity for you!</p> <p>The Ohio Department of Transportation, District Ten, is now accepting applications for Seasonal Highway Technicians for the following counties:</p> <p>Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Vinton and Washington</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on maintenance of traffic and flagging </li><li>Highway maintenance and repair work activities (e.g., pothole patching, spread berm, repair guardrails, crack seal, litter pick-up, drainage, vegetation management such as weed eating, brush cutting, and mowing) </li><li>Operation of heavy equipment (e.g., dump truck, loader) and hand tools (e.g., chainsaw) </li><li>Perform snow & ice operations </li></ul> <p>Who we are looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Safety Driven </li><li>Enjoys working outdoors </li><li>Honest, accountable, trustworthy, and respectful </li><li>A positive team player </li></ul> <p>Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.</p> <p>Note: Applicant must have valid Commercial Driver's License at the appropriate level pursuant to approved position description on file to operate motorized equipment of size & type regulated by section 4506 of Ohio Revised Code.</p> <ul> <li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Highway Maintenance</p>
